Dinah is praying for her chance of happiness with a new family

Dinah is a beautiful girl rescued from a life on the streets after she was found lying in pain with a broken back leg.

She was found in a village in East Turkey and she was taken to a nearby shelter where she was treated by a vet.

Once she was there her future was uncertain and after a local animal welfare volunteer there spotted her she felt she needed to do something to help.

In the end she contacted Animal Friends of Turkey to ask whether we could help find a better and more secure future for this lovely girl.

Dinah is happy now she is getting some TLC in foster care

We were happy to help and so we arranged to have Dinah transported from the East of the country into the AFOT foster care network in Fethiye.

Once she arrived we took her to have her back leg checked by our own vet as something did not seem quite right.

The leg had a pin and a plate and it was obvious that these were causing a problem.

We sent x-rays to a leading orthopaedic surgeon in Ankara who advised that the pin needed to be removed as this is what was causing the problem.

She is now scheduled to have the pin removed and we know she will get stronger and stronger from that point.

Dinah is a sweet young girl who already loves to play with the other dogs in foster care. We estimate her age as being just over a year.

She is a gentle girl with a constantly wagging tail and she has now started the process of being readied for her journey to the UK later this year.

We suspect she was not treated too well on the streets when she was younger as she is still a little wary at times.

However, she is now starting to approach people for fuss and her confidence will grow and grow now she is safe.

Dinah is yet to be tested with children but she is great with the cats in foster care.

What she needs now is a home of her own in the UK with a family that is prepared to show her the love, patience and kind care that she really needs.
