Rescue pup Eddie rescued from a cruel world but is now safe and sound

Eddie is another of the pups who came into the world as one of a litter of nine born in one of the most inhospitable areas of Turkey.

He was born in a place called Nidge which is notorious for the cruelty the residents there show to dogs born to the streets.

His mother Lady and all nine puppies were rescued and taken away from there by animal welfare volunteers.

Eddie has a wonderful temperament and a love for life

They managed to find homes for all but four of the pups and Eddie is one of those.

It was then that Animal Friends of Turkey agreed to step in to help find Eddie and his three homeless siblings a safe, loving home of their own in the UK.

The pups are all of mixed breed and he shows all the signs of being a loyal and faithful companion.

Eddie was found a home initially in Turkey but unfortunately that has not worked out due to the fact that he chewed a carpet there. Chewing is not unusual in young dogs and is something that they can be quite quickly trained not to do.

Eeddie is great with other dogs and with children

Eddie is a medium size dog and about the size of a small Labrador now that he is nearly a year old. He is around 20kg in weight.

He is happy in his foster home and gets on with all the other dogs being super dog friendly. He has also been good with the grandchildren.

Eddie has a wonderful and gentle nature and a loving, calm temperament.

He is very cat friendly and with the right care and training he will make a lovely pet.

Eddie loves his fuss

Eddie travels well in the car and is also very good on the lead.

He is getting some basic training but this will need to continue when he gets to the UK.

He has really nice manners and is clearly a very intelligent dog to listens to everything that is going on around him.

The work is well under way to prepare him for his journey to the UK later this Summer. He will be just over a year-old when he travels but will still be very much a puppy.

Eddie is waiting for his new forever home in the UK
