Bella the beautiful girl rescued after being rejected along with her pup

Bella grew up only knowing life in a home with a family until the day came that the family decided they didn’t want dogs any more.

Bella had had pups and all but one of her litter were found homes it seems.

But then when the puppy was around six months old they decided they didn’t want either of them any more and threatened to cart them both off to the shelter.

It was likely that this would have resulted in both of them being put out on to the street.

Local animal volunteers became aware of the plan and they feared the dogs would not survive their new life. It is very difficult for a dog that has only known family living to cope with life on the street.

They managed to find someone prepared to take in the puppy but they struggled to find a home for Mum Bella, and so they turned to Animal Friends of Turkey for help.

She is now in our care and she is such a sweet and gentle girl.

Bella has a lovely and gentle nature

Bella is around the size of a Labrador and weighs around 25-30kg. We estimate her age at around two years old.

Bella has settled well into foster care and loves nothing better than cuddling up on the sofa.

She is very good with other dogs and is also good with children. She has yet to be cat tested but she ignores the outside cat and shows no sign of wanting to chase her.

Bella at the back loves her walks

She has a lovely nature and her gentle nature means she is happy to go along with whatever is going on around her.

She walks perfectly on the lead and loves to be out and about exploring the lanes and countryside.

She will make the perfect companion for someone and our task now is to find just that person.

Bella will make someone a wonderful companion
