Rescue pup Freya looking for love in the UK

Freya came into the world as one of a litter of nine born in one of the most inhospitable areas of Turkey.

She was born in a place called Nidge which is notorious for the cruelty the residents there show to dogs born to the streets.

Her mother Lady and all nine puppies were rescued and taken away from there by animal welfare volunteers.

They managed to find homes for all but four of the pups and Freya is one of those.

Freya is a gorgeous and gentle girl who adores people

It was then that Animal Friends of Turkey agreed to step in to help find Freya and her three homeless siblings a safe, loving home of their own in the UK.

The pups are all of the Kangol-cross variety with the most dominant character trait of this famous Turkish shepherd dog breed being loyalty and devotion.

Freya shows the early signs of having this very same characteristic herself.

She has the most gorgeous eyes, lovely beige colour with black nose and the most loving nature.

Freya is waiting for the right family to offer her a loving and safe home

She is far more interested in people than she is in food even though she loves her grub, and she adores her cuddle times with her foster mummy.

Pure bred Kangols grow into big dogs but this will not be the case for Freya who is currently on the size of a long legged Jack Russell. We believe she is likely to remain a small or slightly medium size when fully grown.

She is very dog friendly and also cat friendly. We have yet to test her with children but this is something that will be done.

She is bright and is already taking to the basic training that she is being offered. It is vital we find a family that can offer her to the love and care she needs as well as the commitment to continue with this training.

She is now beginning the work to prepare her for her journey to the UK later this Summer.
