Inquisitive, confident Labrador-cross Indie enjoys playing and learning

In October 2021 AFOT was informed about two litters of puppies that were living next to a busy motorway in the middle of nowhere in Zonguldak Province in Turkey.

We don’t know if they had been dumped but there was no sign of their Mum. They stood zero chance of survival if we didn’t intervene.

Beautiful Indie

We arranged transport and camped out for days until we could catch both litters. They were only 8 weeks old and very poorly.

Sadly one of the litters had contracted Parvovirus and one by one died.

Indie stands so proudly

The remaining puppies who were eight months old in April 2022 have all turned into glorious Labrador-cross dogs, all with their own wonderful personalities.

Indie is short haired and small/medium size very much like a Labrador. She currently weighs 15kg.

Indie enjoying a cuddle

Kind and gentle, Indie is house trained and will easily adapt to a home life as she is the most confident of the four siblings, although still a bit timid at first but within 5-10 mins of watching you she wants to be close. She is intelligent & is eager to learn as well as being dog friendly and cat friendly. She is currently undergoing lead training but will require ongoing training.

Such a pretty girl
