Gorgeous girl Bella looking for her forever home in the UK

Beautiful Bella suddenly turned up out of nowhere after being dumped at an animal welfare feeding station in a remote town some 50 kilometres from Istanbul.

Dumped there on the same night was a litter of puppies and the whole crew were discovered by animal volunteers the following morning.

It seems Bella immediately took on a protective motherly role with the puppies and she promptly adopted them as her own.

Bella is a sweet girl who is crying out for love and affection

It later transpired that Bella was pregnant at the time which might have helped prompt her maternal feelings towards the abandoned pups.

The volunteers kept Bella and her newly acquired brood at the feeding station while a future was sorted for them.

They seemed happy enough there until one night a wild boar broke into the garden and the next morning both Bella and the pups were missing.

The volunteers scoured the area looking for them fearful of what they would find.

There were a few reported sightings until three or four weeks later she was tracked down to a spot in the mountains where she turned up outside the home of a friend of one of the volunteers.

They found her in a terrible condition covered in ticks and fleas. She was starving and emaciated and very poorly. There was no sign as yet of the pups.

Bella is a socialable girl in need of some love and TLC

She was taken to the vets for a check up and there they discovered that the litter she was carrying had all died inside her.

The dead pups were in fact poisoning her and she underwent an operation to remove them.

Poor Bella was put in a place of safety in the home of a volunteer in Bodrum and it then that her story came to the attention of Animal Friends of Turkey.

Who’s a pretty girl then – Bella settling into life in foster care

We offered to help and so we are now working to find her a happy and secure forever home in the UK.

We estimate her age at around 18 months and she is already starting to recover well and is putting on weight.

She loves going out on walks on the lead and is very sociable with other dogs she meets along the way.

Bella will make an adorable companion for some lucky person

She is comfortable indoors and loves to play in the garden.

She will bark to let you know she needs the toilet. She is still a bit sensitive to sudden loud noise but this is understandable.

She is also a little timid around dominant dogs but both these should diminish as her confidence grows.

She is not at all aggressive and she loves her fuss and attention.

Bella is waiting for just that special person to come along

She carries the traits typical of a boxer – full of fun and character with a love of life.

She has not seemed phased at all by being around cats when she has seen them on walks.

She has been tested around young children and she was a gentle as a lamb with them.

We do not know her history from before she was abandoned and she will benefit from a home that understands some of the breed traits.

The rewards for the right home will be immense as she is adorable.
