Lovely Lady is slowly getting to know what happiness feels like
Lady is a lovely girl who has only ever known rejection in her short life.
She was dumped on the streets when just a young pup by a family who no longer wanted her.
She was found wandering the streets totally bemused, frightened, hungry and lost. She was very down.
She was watched over by a local band of animal volunteers connected to Animal Aid Ovacik before a Turkish family came forward to offer her a home.
Unfortunately that did not last long either and it was not long before they abandoned her too.
AA Ovacik would not give up on her and she then passed through the hands of two or three foster carers before she eventually arrived at a new foster home in Gocek.
It was then that they approached Animal Friends of Turkey to ask for our help in finding a permanent forever home for her. We gladly gave it.
Eighteen-month-old Lady had been a little boisterous in her early fostering days with a propensity to jump up.
Happily she has now calmed down a great deal and she is proving to be a great house guest in her new home.
She is living in the home with other dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and even a donkey. She gets on famously with all of them.
She has also been tested with children as they have had visiting children and she was super with them too.
Lady is a medium-sized dog who just needs a stable, loving home where she can feel secure and cared for.
We are sure she would repay her new owners a thousand times over for such a life.
Lady is well advanced in her preparation for travel to the UK so all we need now is the right home for her to go to.
So if you feel you could be that special person for Lady then please check out what’s involved in taking on one of our rescue dogs by clicking this link and reading our Dog Adoption Policy guidelines.
A home check is always made and while there is no adoption fee required, we do ask for a donation with all our dogs to help towards our costs.
