Joyful Dakota is so happy now that she is safe

Dakota is a striking girl who just loves everything and everybody.

She is a large breed girl packed with energy and the joys of life.

Dakota is one of seven puppies rescued from a town notorious for the cruelty they show street dogs.

The mixed breed puppies were born in the depth of winter and would not have survived but for the kindness of a local who tried to keep them fed and out of harm’s way.

Eventually she alerted a well known animal welfare volunteer to their plight in the hope of finding somewhere more safe for them.

She in turn contacted Animal Friends of Turkey to ask for our help but at that time our Sanctuary and foster care network were full to capacity.

Dakota is a lovely natured girl who loves to play all day

A place was eventually found for them with a foster carer in Kas who managed to look after them for a few weeks before spaces eventually came free with us in AFOT.

They have been with us now since June and they are now around a year old and Dakota will be about 16 months old by the time she is ready to travel.

Dakota is a very playful girl who is very dog friendly. She loves to play in the garden and will happily go all day.

Dakota on the left is great with other dogs and with strangers

She loves her walks and she will benefit from being with a family that has the time to give her plenty of exercise. She is very well behaved on the lead.

Like all her siblings she has a lovely nature and she is a stunner to look at.

She has a little more growing to do and currently weighs in around 25-30kg.

Dakota is such a treasure to have around

Dakota is very good with people and with strangers, and she loves being petted by everybody she meets.

She will make someone a fabulous pet and a great companion. We just need to find that lucky person.
