This amazing girl has been through so much in her life. All Scarlett wants now is just a human and a home to call her very own.

Beautiful Scarlett was rescued by AFOT from a Turkish Death Camp at the end of October 2021. She was heavily pregnant and severely under nourished and looked like she had had such a hard life.

Scarlett was so sad.

She gave birth to four beautiful pups and was such a good mum to them. No doubt this had been one of many litters and she was fiercely protective of them but unfortunately over a period of time they sadly died.

Such a good Mummy.

From the very beginning Scarlett had a beautiful temperament. She fell in love with her foster mum and has always preferred humans to the other dogs. This probably stems from trying to survive and protect many litters over a period of time, but she has improved and will tolerate smaller dogs now. Therefore we are looking for a home with no other dogs for Scarlett. She is cat friendly and has been fine with the grandchildren.

Scarlett has the most beautiful smile!

Scarlett is a Turkish Anatolian Shepherd mix. Anatolian Shepherds are extremely loyal, territorial and used for herding livestock in the Turkish mountains. She is a large breed dog estimated to be about 5 1/2 years of age and weighing about 30-35kg (June 2022). She can be a little food aggressive as she will have been hungry so many times in her past and care and ongoing training will be needed in this area.

Cat friendly Scarlett.

She loves her walks down by the river, thoroughly enjoying herself and although she pulls at first she improves as the walk continues and this is ongoing training. She may benefit from a harness.

Scarlett will require ongoing, consistent kind but firm, training and with patience and time we believe Scarlett will be a wonderful dog who will return your efforts with an abundance of love and loyalty. She is a very, very loving girl who likes nothing more than a cuddle and her tummy rubs.

Nothing better than a tummy rub!

In the right, loving environment Scarlett will thrive, she just needs that chance and her very own human to love her. Is that you?

Having much loved cuddles.
