Happy rescue boy Tye just loves the great outdoors

Tye’s Mum, Pammy, was found dumped next to a trash bin during the fires near Ichmiler, Turkey, in early 2021. She was heavily pregnant, which is probably the reason she’d been abandoned.

Desperate for safety, she sadly kept trying to return to her home, a place she saw as safe in which to deliver her puppies, only to be repeatedly and callously shooed away by her Turkish owner.

Lonely, with no where to go, Pammy eventually made her birthing den in someone’s garden where both Tye and his Brother, Bruno, were born.

No one realised they were living in the garden until the owner of the house heard some squealing and there they were, two little boys, just over a week old.

As the fires were taking hold of the area, it was really unsafe for them to stay there so the homeowner kindly found help and the Mum and pups were moved.

Ironically one of our nominated foster carers ended up helping them but we didn’t find out about the situation until three months later after she had tried unsuccessfully to find all homes for all three. Animal Friends of Turkey of course offered help as there was no future in Turkey.

Happy boy Tye is just looking for love.

Tye will be a year old in May and has grown to be a small/medium dog at 16kg. He is quite stock in build with short legs.

He is a loving, sweet boy with distinctive looks with lots of black and tan spots mingled into his white fur.

He is inquisitive and loves to play, has a fun personality, but can be a little shy until he gets to know you and therefore will take time to adjust in a new home.

Tye is house trained and mixes well with other dogs, but hasn’t been cat tested as yet.

He loves water and the great outdoors and he is currently undergoing some lead training but will require ongoing training.

Tye loves to play with his friends.

Tye is just looking for someone who can give him love and affection. Someone to be his friend. If you think that could be you then please check out what’s involved in taking on one of our rescue dogs by clicking this link and reading our Dog Adoption Policy guidelines.

A home check is always made and while there is no adoption fee required, we do ask for a voluntary donation to help towards our costs.
