Ellie is so happy now she has been rescued from the cold – Reserved
This tiny little girl was in a pitiful state when she was found left out in the cold and the wet.
Ellie was found shivering, matted, starving and full of fleas and ticks when she was found by kindhearted passersby.
They could not leave her there and so took her to the shelter to get some warmth and initial treatment.

She had a small injury to her leg that they also treated and this has now healed up already.
It was the shelter that contacted Animal Friends of Turkey to see whether this diminutive wee girl could be found a forever home.

And so now Ellie has been moved into the home of one of our foster carers where she has settled into home comforts already.
We have no idea of her story before she was found and while she was a little wary at first, she is showing no real signs of separation anxiety in foster care.

She just seems happy she’s fallen on her feet and is loving the life of a pampered pooch.
We estimate her age at just over a year and she has now started the process of being readied for her journey over to the UK later this year.

Ellie has already introduced herself to the resident cat and the pair seem to be getting on well.
Over the coming weeks we will look to test how good she is with other dogs and also with children.

The thing now is to find Ellie a home of her own in the UK with owners who will give her the love and protection she so clearly needs.

A home check is always made and while there is no adoption fee required, we do ask for a donation with all our dogs to help towards our costs.
