Tayla found dumped among the rubbish but now with her own happy ever after
Tayla is now living the life of her dreams with a family based in the wonderful countryside of North Yorkshire. This is her original story:
Tayla was only six months old old when she appeared overnight in the middle of the pandemic lockdown scrabbling among the rubbish bins.
The fact that she had not been seen before suggests that she was yet another unwanted pet dumped and left to survive the streets on her own.
She was spotted by one of our fervent AFOT supporters in Turkey who whisked her off the street and found her temporary foster care.
The challenge then was to find what to do with her after that, as it looked as if the only option open to her was life in the shelter.
We would not wish that on any dog and so when our supporter came to us with a plea for help we were happy to step in.
Tayla moved into the AFOT foster care network in July, by which time this little girl had reached the age of around six months.
Tayla is a typical playful pup who will grow to be around a medium Collie sized girl.
She gets on well with other dogs and we will soon be testing her with both children and cats.
She is very affectionate and loves her cuddles. She is now just getting used to walking on the lead.
She is a bright girl and she will need a good training regime once she eventually moves to the UK.
She is bright enough to respond well to training and she is sure to enjoy it.
Tayla now needs a home of her own and she should be ready to travel in early Autumn of this year.
