Loving pup Sassie has finally found her special someone
This beautiful girl was born into an uncertain future. It is uncertain no more as she has finally made her way to her new loving forever home in Kent. This is her original story …
Sassie is another of the pups who came into the world as one of a litter of nine born in one of the most inhospitable areas of Turkey.
She was born in a place called Nidge which is notorious for the cruelty the residents there show to dogs born to the streets.
Her mother Lady and all nine puppies were rescued and taken away from there by animal welfare volunteers.
They managed to find homes for all but four of the pups and Sassie is one of those.
It was then that Animal Friends of Turkey agreed to step in to help find Sassie and her three homeless siblings a safe, loving home of their own in the UK.
The pups are all of the Kangol-cross variety with the most dominant character trait of this famous Turkish shepherd dog breed being loyalty and devotion.
Like her siblings she shows the early signs of having this very same characteristic herself. She is a very sweet girl and will make an excellent addition to any household.
She is currently a blonde to fawn colour with typical black nose and has grown into a medium sized dog and around the size of a small Labrador.
She is a very friendly girl who gets on well with cats and while she mixes well with other dogs.
She is good around and children and she loves her food which suggests she could be easy to train.
Sassie is a bright girl and will definitely need a home where there is a commitment to give her good training. She is bright and is likely to take to that well.
She is now around a year old and she is ready to travel to the UK.
She and her siblings were all nervous pups when they first came into us but they have settled quickly and we expect Sassie to do so once she finds her forever home.
