Lost and lonely rescue dog Bibi looking for love in the UK
We do not know Bibi’s full backstory as she seemed to appear suddenly out of nowhere in an area of Fethiye dominated by holiday villas and apartments.
We estimate that this little girl is probably around five years old and she shows all the characteristics of a dog that had been living in a home somewhere.
We suspect she may have been dumped for reasons we know not.
She stayed close to one particular apartment complex where she quickly became a favourite of holidaymakers there.
She had a friendly greeting for them each morning and it was not long before they began to take pity on her.
She was in poor condition and had been terribly neglected. Her tiny little body was covered with ticks.
The holidaymakers did what they could by giving her some tick treatment and feeding her.
However, they feared for her future as the holiday season drew to a close and there were fewer and fewer people around to watch over her and care for her.
It was then that they contacted AFOT with a request for us to help her. We stepped in and quickly found her a new foster home with a number of our other rescue dogs.
She was taken to the vets for a full check over and she was still suffering from tick infestation.
She was un-neutered and it was obvious that she had had more than one litter in the past. She also had one or two broken teeth that were causing her obvious pain, and we had these removed.
She is such a friendly and loving girl and she so deserves a loving home of her own with people who will make her feel wanted and secure.
She has settled so well into her foster home and all she wants is to be cuddled and stroked, and to give love back in return.
She is wonderful with the other dogs and she is also fine around cats. She will make a lovely dog for someone out there.
