Placid girl is blossoming in her new happy life in the UK

This girl and her two pups were abandoned at the shelter before AFOT stepped in to help them. Now all three are living new happy lives in the UK. Here is here original story:

Alarda is a four-year-old cross breed girl who is just confused with the world right now.

She was originally rescued from the Haydos shelter in Turkey when she was just a pup and ever since then it seems she has lived contendedly with an ex-pat resident and two other rescue dogs.

But then one day early this year her owner decided she wanted to move back to the UK and she was not prepared to take her dogs with her.

Alarda lies down for some peace and quiet with the other two she was abandoned with

Instead she simply drove the three dogs back to the shelter and left them there.

As far as we can see she made no attempt to find new homes for them and she refused offers from the shelter to help her with a relocation to the UK.

Alarda loves her time out on her walks

She simply upped sticks and went off leaving all three utterly confused and bewildered in the shelter.

The shelter is a totally different environment indeed to living in the comfort of domestic surroundings in a home and it was clear all three were struggling.

Alarda is a placid and calm girl

Alarda is quite a timid girl anyway but once in the shelter she became even more withdrawn.

It was then that Haydos approached AFOT for help in finding a way back into someone’s home for all three of them.

We answered the call and all three are now out of the shelter and living in foster care in Turkey while we prepare them for travel to the UK. We expect them to be ready around March time.

Alarda is comfortable around other dogs but really all she wants is her own bit of space and some peace and quiet.

She loves people and loves to play and by far and away her favourite pastime is being out on a walk. She walks really well on the lead.

She is lacking a little in confidence as is the case with all three of them.

Alarda arrives at her new home from Turkey to meet her new sibling in the UK

This will be in part due to her current state of confusion but we also suspect that some of it will be due to the fact that her previous owner most likely did very little with her or the other two dogs.

Alarda just wants somewhere safe in a home in the UK

All she really needs now is a new home in the UK. Somewhere where she can feel secure, safe and loved.
