Rejected Kenny deserved to find a home where he’s loved – ADOPTED

Kenny (now Ronnie) was quite clearly a dog that had a home until the day came that his owners just couldn’t be bothered with him any more. However, instead of finding a new home for him they drove him to a busy main highway and dumped him before driving off.

He was spotted there by animal welfare volunteers who saw him wandering close to the racing traffic looking bewildered and lost.

Scruffy Kenny just loves his cuddles

If he had been left there it would only have been a matter of time before he met with either serious injury or death.

So they took him in and shortly afterwards there was a plea to Animal Friends of Turkey for our help in finding the small boy a permanent home.

Kenny is great to have around the place

Kenny was moved to live with AFOT foster carers where he at last could feel safe, loved and care for.

Kenny proved to be a lovely boy with a sweet nature and he is great around the home.

He loves his walks and his great on the lead. He loves nothing better than having his special time for cuddles and affection.

Kenny is full of beans and just loves life

We estimated Kenny’s age as just over two years old and by the time he was ready to travel he was around two-and-a-half.

He was spotted by the Robinsons from Richmond in North Yorkshire and they couldn’t resist Kenny’s charms. He joined them and his new brother, Doberman Rio, in May 2022 and there’s been no turning back for any of them. In fact, Louise says she has never known a dog to settle in so quickly and easily.

The family own Millbry Hill country clothing store and took part in our annual dog walk, raising over £1000 for AFOT. Look out for Kenny, now known as Ronnie, strutting his stuff in the future modelling their dog wear range on Instagram. He’ll be the most handsome model there is!

You can totally understand why the Robinson family fell in love with him!
