Sweet little Charley is definitely somebody’s Princess Charming now

Charley suddenly appeared one day lost and forlorn. She was rescued, came into AFOT care and today she is lost no more and is living happily with her family in Edinburgh. Here is her original story …

Charley is the perfect little house guest and such a treasure to have around.

She is a dinky little thing who charms absolutely everybody she meets.

New visitors to the house get a warm welcome and as soon as they sit down she will be up on their lap to say a happy hello.

Sweet charmer Charley with AFOT Chair Carol Holbrook

Charley turned up out of nowhere outside the gate of the home of an Animal Friends of Turkey volunteer.

The volunteer is well known for her work in rescuing dogs and we believe someone dumped her there because they knew she would take her in.

She was only a wee puppy and probably only 4-5 months old when she was abandoned.

Charley is great to have around the place and loves everybody

She was taken in and has made herself perfectly at home ever since with all the other dogs there.

She is great with all the dogs and is also great with the cats and all people.

She is a proper cutie pie and she walks well on the lead. She currently weighs just 7-8 kilos and will be around a year old by the time she is ready to travel to the UK.

Charley gets on well with cats and with dogs

She still has a little more growing to do but she will always be a wee dinky thing.

Charley will make a fabulous pet for someone and so our quest now is to find just the right home that will be lucky enough to have her.

So if you feel you could be that special person for one of our dogs then please check out what’s involved in taking on one of our rescue dogs by clicking this link and reading our Dog Adoption Policy guidelines.

A home check is always made and while there is no adoption fee required, we do ask for a donation with all our dogs to help towards our costs.
