Abandoned boy Alfie left behind to fend for himself
Alfie knows what it is like to be left with no-one in the world but that is now a far off memory as he has landed on his feet with his new family in Dunfermline in Scotland. Here is his original story …
Poor little Alfie was found abandoned and wandering the streets close to a popular tourist area near Fethiye.
The likelihood is that he was taken there on family holiday and then dumped before the family went home.

Unfortunately this is something that does happen over there and it is an area known for having animal volunteers who take in dogs.

Alfie was wearing a collar so had obviously been owned but while he had clearly been fed he was not well cared for.
His coat was matted, dirty and uncared for and he left resembling something that looked like a mop.
He was spotted walking the streets between Ovacik and the popular resort of Oludeniz by animal welfare volunteers.

He had no food or water and he had a touch of dehydration.
They took him in and did a great job of cleaning him, and when his unruly coat was trimmed he emerged as half the size.
Alfie is a small boy who is a playful and loving little chap.
He is great with other dogs and also with cats. He has also been tested with small children and he is good with them as well.

We suspect he has been used to living around children and other animals.
