Rescue girl Amber dumped in a sack now has her happy future

This sweet girl was found in a sack where she had been dumped and left to die with her brother. She came into AFOT care after being rescued and today she is the happiest girl in the world living with her new family in Hertfordshire. Here is her original story …

Rescue dog Amber and her brother are lucky to be alive.

The pair were only five weeks old when they were placed in a sack that was tied up tight and then hurled into a ditch in a forest.

They would most certainly have perished save for a passerby hearing they plaintive welps and going off to investigate.

Amber loves her me time with her human best of all

Amber and brother Harry were rescued and taken to a place of safety to be fed and cared for.

An appeal for help went out on social media and a foster carer agreed to take them in while a home was found for them.

That was close to 18 months ago and no luck had been had in finding a permanent home for them.

Amber is a gorgeous girl with a lot of love to give

So AFOT was asked to find a permanent home for both Amber and Harry.

Amber is a total delight, and she is a loving and quiet girl who is a treasure to have around.

She is not that keen on too much of the hustle and bustle that comes with having loads of dogs around.

Amber loves her walks and is really good on the lead

She much prefers a bit of peace and quiet on her own. She is actually fine with dogs and would be OK in a home with one other dog or in a home as an only dog. It is the madness of a pack of dogs she doesn’t really enjoy.

What she really likes the most is to be with her human and she walks really well on the lead, and enjoys the time she gets exploring the countryside around her.

She is a medium sized girl and weighs in around 18-20kg. She is a gorgeous looking girl and she loves her fuss and affection.
