Big girl Sari has such a calm and wonderful temperament

When this girl was lost and lonely she could have had no idea of what a wonderful life awaited her. Sari is now with another AFOT dog in her new home in Tunbridge Wells. This is her original story …

Rescue pup Sari will be a wonderful addition to any family that is used to dealing with big dogs.

Young Sari was found wandering the streets all alone and bewildered in a remote village in the East of Turkey.

She was spotted by an active animal welfare volunteer who watches out for dogs in an area notorious for being unwelcoming to street dogs.

Sari is growing up fast into a big but beautiful young girl

Sari was only around three months old and the volunteer hunted around for any signs of Sari’s mother but without any luck.

Eventually she gave up and decided the only thing to do was to get her somewhere safe and found her a temporary home with her Mum and Dad.

Here she was safe for a while but could not stay there, and so she contacted Animal Friends of Turkey for help.

Sari with her foster Mum where she is coming on really well

Sari travelled across to Fethiye and into the safety of our foster care home network.

Sari has been in foster care the last few months now and is a typical boisterous, happy young dog.

She is now nearly 8 months old and is already a large breed dog even though she is still a puppy in so many ways.

Sari is both child and cat friendly

She is super dog friendly and is living well with other foster dogs.  She is also child and cat friendly.

She is very playful, loves any toys and playing with the other dogs and she is always to be found having fun.

While Sari is a big dog she has a beautiful and calm nature with a lovely temperament.

Sari is a playful girl who loves her toys

We are looking for a home that is used to big dogs, and one that will give her the training she requires along with good exercise and love and patience.

She can still be prone to pull on a lead as she doesn’t know her own strength but this is something that can be easily addressed with the right handling and training.

The main thing now is to be find the right home for her with a loving family that can give her the security and TLC she needs.
