Teddy the young boy who just wants to play

Teddy was only a few weeks old when a sister rescue agency came across him.

They had been contacted by a Turkish man who asked them to help after he said he needed to go to another part of the country to visit his sick Mum.

It was only supposed to be a temporary arrangement and so they agreed to take him in.

They eventually found the house where the man lived up in the mountains and it seemed he had already left leaving the wee puppy all alone in a field.

Next to him was a bowl filled with slimy green water but fortunately a gardener had thought to leave a nearby hose running for him. Without access to that water wee Teddy may not have survived.

They took him in and lo and behold they later received a message from the guy to say he didn’t want him back.

The rescue agency needed help in finding a permanent future and home for young Teddy and so they turned to Animal Friends of Turkey for help.

Teddy was moved to out our Sanctuary after a few weeks in foster care and he has been settling well there.

Teddy is a real mischievous and fun character who is always on the go.

He gets on extremely well with the other dogs and loves the play games with them, especially play fighting and chase.

He loves his food and is enjoying his new life. As with many six month old puppies, everyday is party day.

Teddy is now being taken out for regular walks and he is adapting well to the lead.

Every day is a day for fun for Teddy

He is still growing and we expect him to be a medium size dog weighing a likely 17-20kg. He will be around a year old by the time he is ready to make the journey across to the UK.

He will benefit from being in a home where he has set boundaries to curb some of his exuberance and where he can get some good training.

With that in place Teddy will make a fantastic pet for someone.
