Pippin and his brother Merry once had a home, living safely with their younger siblings. However, when their owner moved away, they were abandoned at a government shelter—a likely death sentence for young puppies. Thankfully, AFOT intervened, giving them a second chance.
Pippin is a happy, playful boy who loves cuddles and games. While he’s timid around strangers, especially men, he warms up quickly and becomes affectionate and loyal. He enjoys playing with dogs of all sizes and gets along well with cats.
He has crooked back legs, likely due to poor nutrition as a puppy, but they don’t affect his ability to move, run, or play. He’s comfortable in familiar spaces but can be nervous in new environments. He walks well on a lead but may get spooked.
Pippin needs a calm, patient home to help him build confidence and feel secure. In return, he’ll be a loving and joyful companion, bringing happiness to his new family.

We provide a lifetime rescue back up (RBU) and work to DEFRA guidelines.
While there is no adoption fee required, we do ask for a voluntary donation to help towards our costs of between £595-£795. Each dog costs us on average £2500-£3000 to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome and our adoption donation is only a small proportion of this.
We rely solely on fundraising for the remainder plus any emergency treatment needed to help these abused, neglected and abandoned animals which are often in horrific condition and desperate need when they come into AFOT care.
Every penny we raise goes towards rescuing another dog, so even if you decide not to rehome one of our dogs today, please consider a donation so that we can continue to rescue another dog in the future.
If you’ve read through our adoption process and found a dog you think is right for you, it’s time to fill out our adoption form.
