Mimi is an energetic, fun-loving girl who brings joy to everyone she meets. Rescued from a horrific death shelter in Turkey, Mimi was just a puppy when she fought to survive and ended up being the only survivor from her group. With no future in sight, Animal Friends of Turkey (AFOT) was asked to step in and take over her care.
Mimi has blossomed into a confident, playful dog who loves affection and always wants to be the center of attention. She lives at our sanctuary in Turkey with other dogs and is very social, but she can be a bit bossy, especially with other females. Despite this, she’s happy to play with everyone! Her ideal home would have another male dog for companionship, but she could also thrive in a home where she gets plenty of dog interaction outside of the home. Mimi is also cat-friendly, making her a great candidate for a multi-pet household.
Mimi is full of energy and always ready to play! She loves being stroked and fussed over, and her sweet nature makes her a delightful companion. While she’s lead trained, she could use a bit more work on walking nicely on the lead, as she tends to pull. However, Mimi is very clever and quick to learn, so with a bit of patience and consistency, she’ll soon be a dream to walk. She’s also very obedient and will wait for food on command and come when called.
Mimi’s stunning brindle coat—black, fawn, and white—makes her impossible to ignore. She’s not only beautiful but also intelligent and will make a wonderful addition to any family. Her ideal new family will provide her with plenty of love, exercise, and training to help her reach her full potential.
At 3 years and 3 months old, Mimi is ready to find her forever home. She’s neutered, vaccinated, and chipped, and is eager to begin the next chapter of her life. A home check is required, and while there is no adoption fee, a voluntary donation to help with rescue costs would be greatly appreciated.
Mimi is currently in Turkey, but we’ll help her get to the UK once the right home is found. All dogs are tested for Brucella, Leishmaniasis, Anaplasma, Heartworm, and E-Canis before travel, and proof of testing and signed vet letters will be provided to the adopter.
Could you be the one to offer Mimi the loving home she deserves?
If you think you could offer Mimi the forever home she’s been waiting for, please check out our adoption process via Adopting With AFOT. There, you’ll find everything you need to get started, including our adoption form. A home check is always carried out, and while there’s no fixed adoption fee, we do kindly ask for a voluntary donation to help with our ongoing rescue efforts.
