Lovable dog Max is a rescue dog who is all set to start a new happy life in the UK thanks to the efforts of supporters of Animal Friends of Turkey.

A family responded to his story and we have successfully processed the adoption. He is currently set to travel to the UK in April.

Max was found and rescued on a cold evening, he had been abandoned on the streets of a town in Turkey.

It was clear he had been dumped as he was so scared, confused and hugely distressed.

Fortunately an animal lover found him.  Max clung to her and didn’t want to let her go following her all the way to her home.

Seeing how scared he was and knowing he had no chance of surviving on the streets she took him in and reached out to a local animal volunteer for help for him.

One of our AFOT supporters saw his plea  and contacted us to see if we could help.

Max is now in foster and is a lovely enthusiastic and very affectionate dog, he is only 8 months old and loves everyone and everything!

Max loves all people and gets along with all ages, although he gets very excited and will jump up full of excitement.

The foster carer is training him at the moment that this is not always good especially with little ones who he loves too!

He also loves and adores cats.  As we said he loves everything and everybody but he can get a bit too excited for them and they don’t always appreciate his buoyant nature!

He gets on with all dogs but sometimes the other dogs bully him as he’s so soft.  Max doesn’t care though as he just loves playing with them.

Max is fully house-trained and can stay on his own although he does have some separation anxieties due to his abandonment

However, with the love of the right family he will soon feel safe and secure.

Anyone who chooses to adopt Max will be getting a really lovely young, loyal, affectionate friend.
