CESAR

Sex: Male
Age: 2 Years 3 Months (Nov 2024)
Size: Medium-Large (20kg)
Location: Currently in Turkey, awaiting adoption
Needs: A home with lots of love, attention, and cuddles

Cesar is a beautiful, gentle, and affectionate boy who is ready to find his forever home. He was discovered with his nine tiny siblings in an isolated area in the Turkish mountains. The family who found them fed the pups and their mother, but they knew they wouldn’t be able to provide care long-term due to the remote location and the weather conditions about to set in.

AFOT was contacted, and despite the tight time frame, we were able to raise enough funds to take in Cesar and his siblings. Since then, Cesar has grown into a well-adjusted, loving dog who enjoys receiving attention and affection from everyone he meets.

Cesar is a happy, healthy, and strong young dog with a lovely temperament. He’s the most gentle and amicable of his foster group and loves to run to you for attention. He’s good on the lead and enjoys walks, making him a joy to exercise. Cesar would be the most loyal companion and could thrive as an only dog, where he would get all the attention he craves.

Cesar is still very much a playful young dog, and while he may chase house cats out of excitement, he has no malice. With the right introductions and training, we believe Cesar could adapt well to living with a resident cat.

At 2 years and 3 months old, Cesar weighs around 20kg and is in great shape. He’s a medium-sized dog who would love to be the center of attention in his new home. Cesar is neutered, vaccinated, and chipped, and he is ready to start the next chapter of his life in the UK.

If you think you could offer Cesar the love and attention he deserves, please check out our adoption process via Adopting With AFOT. A home check is always carried out, and while there’s no fixed adoption fee, we kindly ask for a voluntary donation to help with our rescue efforts.

All our dogs are tested for Brucella, Leishmaniasis, Anaplasma, Heartworm, and E-Canis before travel, and proof of testing and signed vet letters will be provided to the adopter.

Important Information

All our dogs will be tested prior to leaving Turkey for the following diseases:

BRUCELLA
LEISHMANIAS
ANAPLASMA
HEARTWORM
E-CANIS

Proof of tests and accompanying signed vet letters will be sent to adopter.

A home check is always made.

We provide a lifetime rescue back up (RBU) and work to DEFRA guidelines.

While there is no adoption fee required, we do ask for a voluntary donation to help towards our costs of between £595-£795. Each dog costs us on average £2500-£3000 to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome and our adoption donation is only a small proportion of this.

We rely solely on fundraising for the remainder plus any emergency treatment needed to help these abused, neglected and abandoned animals which are often in horrific condition and desperate need when they come into AFOT care.

Every penny we raise goes towards rescuing another dog, so even if you decide not to rehome one of our dogs today, please consider a donation so that we can continue to rescue another dog in the future.
