Becoming a fosterer is so rewarding. Giving a dog a chance to live in a home environment makes all the difference. There is nothing quite like knowing you made the difference and enabled the dog to find its loving forever home.

In Turkey our dogs are cared for four months while we ensure the dogs go through all the correct procedures to get them ready for transportation to the UK. The authorities in Turkey have strict requirements governing vaccinations and testing before State Vet certification is granted allowing the export of our precious cargo. We therefore are always looking for foster homes in the UK so that we don’t have to keep them too long in Turkey.  Most do not have access to a home environment and although the majority do adjust with time and take to home life incredibly well in-fact revelling in it! There are times we wish to bring a dog to a foster home in the UK rather than a permanent one immediately.  

Some of our very nervous dogs may need a little more time to adjust and our UK foster carers can help the less confident dogs to settle and get used to a home environment and a routine.   It’s an important role giving both the foster carers and the dog such a wonderful experience.
