Sponsor A Dog
Sponsoring an AFOT dog helps the Charity with the dog’s everyday costs and helps
support their food/kennelling/care, entry disease test, export vaccinations, worming and
fleaing.
From rescue to their UK arrival, the cost is around £2,500 per dog.
That’s why sponsorship matters…
From as little as £5 a month, you can help provide the everyday care a rescued dog needs
while they wait for their forever home. Each dog has different costs depending on where the
dog is located with multiple sponsors, until it’s costs are met.
As a sponsor, our dedicated Sponsor Team will send you monthly photos, videos and updates,
so you can follow the dog whose life you are helping to change.
HOW DOES SPONSORSHIP WORK?
- You can choose the amount you wish to donate monthly, sponsorship starts at £5 per month, but you can donate any amount.
- We request you set up a standing order with your bank payable to the Charity (The details will be provided)
- Your sponsorship will be for a minimum of 6 months or until the dog travels to its UK home (which may be longer).Â
- When the dog travels to its new UK home we give you the choice of switching your sponsorship to another dog or cancelling your sponsorship.
WHAT DOGS CAN I SPONSOR?
We have 3 categories of dogs
1. THE SHELTER DOGS – Rescued from Turkish shelters where their lives are at risk under the new law.
2. THE STREET DOGS – Rescued from the streets, where they face abandonment, suffering and the threat of being taken to a shelter.
3. LIFETIME FOSTER DOGS – Dogs who have been rescued and because of extreme trauma suffered, age/illness, cannot be rehomed in the UK and will remain in Turkish foster care for the rest of their lives.
