Timmy is the first one of our dogs to benefit from the AFOT/Melez partnership. He is now enjoying life in the Netherlands thanks to Melez Dog Rescue who found him the perfect home.

Here’s Timmy’s original story…

Found along with his Brother and Mum, this gorgeous boy was living on wasteland near a construction site in Turkey, desperately trying to survive. Our sanctuary keeper spotted them and, realising they were in a terrible state, started to take food to gain their trust so they could be helped. After a few weeks, Timmy and his Brother, Ralph (also for adoption), were helped but sadly Mummy couldn’t be found.

Both boys were in a terrible state thin, hungry & covered in ticks. Timmy was immediately tested for disease but thankfully he was negative – but because he was critical he stayed for a few weeks in the vets while they administered treatment to pull him round. They said had he been left just one more day he would have died. Thankfully he was eventually well enough to go into our foster care network and he has thrived and is full of life.

Timmy is now 15 months old (May 3023) and tiny at 11-12kg. He is chipped, neutered and vaccinated. He is a crossbreed boy with a white coat with mainly black spots and a long swishing tail which is always wagging.Timmy is so laid back he’s even great with cats!

This lovely little lad is a delight – just a lovely temperament and nature. Timmy walks lovely and calmly on a lead and is good with all dogs and super friendly with cats. He is also good with smaller children. He also loves his food.

Timmy is a little fusspot and loves to be loved. He will make such a lovely pet. Timmy makes friends easily and has such a beautiful personality.
