NOAH

Sex: Male
Age: 5 yrs 5 months (June 26)
Size: Large (46kg)
Location: In UK Kennels (Cambridgeshire area)
Needs: A home that is used to big dogs and one that can offer regular good exercise and companionship, a home with a resident dog/s would be ideal as he is used to living with other dogs, although can be rehomed as an only dog

Noah is a big, gentle, and intelligent boy who has a heart full of love. He is always the first to greet you with a wagging tail and a happy face. Noah was one of seven puppies rescued from a town known for its cruelty toward street dogs. Born during the harsh winter, Noah and his siblings wouldn’t have survived without the kindness of a local who kept them fed and safe until help arrived.
Noah is a bright and friendly dog who really loves people and is a true “people dog.” He thrives on company and companionship, always eager to be by your side, a calm and chilled dog who despite his large size and long legs! has a calm and gentle nature. Noah really is an all rounder who enjoys fun time playing with other dogs and gets on well with all kinds and sizes, he is a big dog he will need good consistent and regular exercise.
Noah walks extremely well on a lead, has excellent recall and is great with other dogs, making him a fantastic addition to a home with other dogs. He has also lived with small children and has shown himself to be very friendly and so gentle around the little people. Noah has recently moved from his Turkish foster home (June 26) where although he lived in an enclosure with the other dogs, he has had the benefit, unlike many of the AFOT dogs of having free access to the home most days, where one of his favourite past times was stretching out on the sofa with no room for anyone else! Noah is now currently (June 26) living in the UK rescue Kennels that facilitate AFOT’s dogs in the Cambridgeshire area of Wisbech where visits can be arranged through AFOT which we always recommend, although not imperative.
As with any rescue dog Noah will need a period of adjustment to settle into a new home but as he loves people, company and is most happy when he is near you, we feel he will thrive in the right home and once he realises you are ‘his humans’ he will be an amazing loyal companion, the best pet.
Noah can be re-homed as an only dog, provided he gets plenty of other dog interaction, he would also love a home where there was already a resident dog/s. Given that he has been with his current foster carer for a substantial time, a period of adjustment is to be expected when he moves to a new home.

Important Information

All our dogs will be tested prior to leaving Turkey for the following diseases:

BRUCELLA
LEISHMANIAS
ANAPLASMA
HEARTWORM
E-CANIS

Proof of tests and accompanying signed vet letters will be sent to adopter.

A home check is always made.

We provide a lifetime rescue back up (RBU) and work to DEFRA guidelines.

While there is no adoption fee required, we do ask for a voluntary donation to help towards our costs of between £595-£795. Each dog costs us on average £2500-£3000 to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome and our adoption donation is only a small proportion of this.

We rely solely on fundraising for the remainder plus any emergency treatment needed to help these abused, neglected and abandoned animals which are often in horrific condition and desperate need when they come into AFOT care.

Every penny we raise goes towards rescuing another dog, so even if you decide not to rehome one of our dogs today, please consider a donation so that we can continue to rescue another dog in the future.
.
If you feel like you could offer Noah the loving home he deserves, please consider adopting him. A home check is required, and while there is no adoption fee, we do kindly ask for a voluntary donation to help with rescue costs.

If you think you could offer Noah the forever home he deserves, please take a look at our adoption process via Adopting With AFOT, where you’ll find everything you need to get started, including our adoption form. A home check is always carried out, and while there’s no fixed adoption fee, we do kindly ask for a voluntary donation to help with our ongoing rescue efforts.
