Tani is a girl with a heart and a personality big enough to fill the Albert Hall.
Tani with her distinctive Yoda-like ears came to us after being abandoned and dumped outside someone’s house in a village notorious for the cruelty shown to street dogs.
She was clearly not used to street life and would not have survived long there on her own so the couple whose house it was took her down to the local shelter.

That was no place for her and it was shortly after that she was spotted by an animal welfare volunteer who alerted us to Animal Friends of Turkey of her plight.
We agreed to take her into AFOT care and she was moved over to us after having spent around six weeks in the shelter.
She thrived there from the love she was shown.

Tani is coming up to three years old and quite clearly she is a Jack Russell cross and hardly much bigger than a cat.
She has a tail that just never stops wagging and all she wants is love and affection.
She is very much a lap dog and she likes nothing better than to hop up on to your knee when you are sitting down for good old scritching behind the ears and a belly rub.

She gets on well with other dogs although she can be a little bit jealous if she sees others getting attention but this will improve in time.
She eats well and she loves rolling around in the long grass, and she is great on the lead.
We knew she would make a tremendous companion and best friend for someone in the UK and she must certainly has. She now lives with her new Mum, Wendy Howe in Plymouth. Their bond was instant and Tani is no longer that girl that nobody wanted. She couldn’t be more wanted than she is.

Tani has found her new Mummy but we have many dogs still looking for theirs, so if you want to register your interest in providing a loving home for one of our rescue dogs then please complete and submit our Dog Adoption Registration form.
